Born and raised under the canopy of the world's largest trees, Erik attended Western Washington University and began farming Whatcom County in 2009 after a field ecology internship with North Cascades National Park. A believer and life student of minimalism and continuous improvement, his role as operations manager at Sound Vegetables keeps the project nimble and high quality. When he's not in the field Erik loves climbing Washington's peaks, bicycling, playing rugby and keeping up on green building with the Northwest Ecobuilding Guild.
Aaron's experience in agriculture crosses the North American continent and reaches to Hawaii where he practiced vegetable production. A native to New Jersey, he previously led garden education classes and worked at urban farms in the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan. Passionate about revitalizing localized food systems and implementing less destructive agricultural practices on a large scale, Aaron's focus is on hardy greens, tomato, and other specialty fruit at Sound Vegetables.
